"Sharing the Planet"

Dear parents,

I would like to introduce you to our new Unit of Inquiry. It will be our last Unit for this Academic year. You will receive a newsletter soon with all the details for this term.

Central Idea:

Living things have basic needs to survive

Lines of Inquiry:

• Characteristics of living things
• How living things grow and survive
• Living things I share the world with

Last week we begin to unpack our Unit and had a chance to talk briefly about living and non-living things. We had nature walk around the school campus and was able to collect some examples of nature things (plants, rocks, seeds, etc.)

We organize a nurture corner in our class where students can observe, care and explore different Nature objects.

We will appreciate your support at home with the same Topic. You can ask your child to look for Nature things in the Garden and around the house. Students can bring examples of the objects to the class as pictures or real things. Anything is welcome.

We will carry on with the first line for the next 2 weeks.
